After a few years of contributing to the spydrzweb, I've struck out on my own....well, not exactly. A few friends and colleagues will contribute, as urge and necessity dictate, and ideally, this place will be one of crass learning, fast hyperbole, and succinct pejorative. Really, folks, there isn't going to be anything earth shattering coming from here, but conversation and community are important, and here we are. Thus..... I, herodotus.....
